Sunrise Springs-The Neighborhoods of Santa Fe, New Mexico

Sunrise Springs, located in the richly soiled region of the Rio Grande basin and La Cienega Valley, can be traced back as far as more than three thousand years. American Indians were attracted to the nourishing springs that seep throughout the valley where they took refuge under the high desert cottonwoods and willow trees at Sunrise Springs. This highly fertile land has always been used for raising gardens, sheep ranching and other livestock grazing. Pottery chards and stone foundations of nearby El Alamo and Las Golondrinas reveal a substantial history of the cultural … (0 comments)

Vista Redondo - The Neighborhoods of Santa Fe, New Mexico
This week let's  ease into a gentle stream of traffic and in just 12 minutes emerge onto a majestic New Mexico landscape and a neighborhood called Vista Redonda. It's perched upon four mesas above the Village of Tesuque with spellbinding vistas of the snow capped mountains and staggeringly brilliant sunsets.  Home to movie stars and captains of industry, the upscale, water-wise community totals almost 700 acres and 82 luxury homes.  There is also easy … (0 comments)

Montezuma Street - The Neighborhoods of Santa Fe, New Mexico
All it takes for a little inspiration to compose my weekly blog on the neighborhoods of Santa Fe is to take a walk around the block. The district is heaving with Friday afternoon traffic as I make my way to Montezuma Street, the hub of the Rail Yard District.  Just a ½ block from my office I can stroll through Border's Books, The Cowgirl Hall of Fame Restaurant (excellent Bar-B-Q  and live music), … (1 comments)

Through 2010 the city is celebrating its 400th anniversary and we're in the mood to party. My office is in the neighborhood of downtown Santa Fe.  I'm looking out my window at the Santa Fe River and the awe- inspiring Sangre de Cristo Mountain range beyond.  The Plaza is three blocks away.  I'm surrounded by world- class restaurants all of which have been given the highest ratings in Conde Naste, Bon Appétit, Travel & Leisure and many others.  The Lensic Performing Arts Theater, The … (0 comments)

neighborhoods of santa fe: Sundance Estates - The Neighborhoods of Santa Fe, New Mexico - Michael’s Blog - 04/16/09 10:00 AM
Santa Fe is still a place that has neighborhoods. When I think of Santa Fe, it's all about lifestyle.  Here, a family can ski in the morning and play tennis or golf in the afternoon.  Or hike in the morning and ride horses in the afternoon.  Or switch them all about! This week, I'm letting you know about the neighborhood of Sundance Estates.  Just 15 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza, the homes here are all built with the lifestyle in mind.  Many of the 2 ½ acre sites have majestic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the Santa … (0 comments)

neighborhoods of santa fe: Las Campanas - The Neighborhoods of Santa Fe, New Mexico - Michael’s Blog - 04/02/09 06:07 AM
As you know, I am high on living in Santa Fe.  This week I am highlighting the neighborhood of Las Campanas.  Just 15 minutes from the downtown Plaza, you'll find a celebration of possibilities.  On more than 4,700 acres of high-desert landscape are two Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses, an unparalleled Equestrian Center, a well appointed Spa & Tennis Center and the inviting Hacienda Clubhouse.  Las Campanas builders create modern interpretations of adobe homes that are both striking pieces of sculpture and spectacular living spaces.  For a glimpse of a beautiful home be sure to visit www.7HoneysuckleCircle.com Click here to view Luxury Homes … (0 comments)
