The city of Miramar Florida was incorporated on May 26, 1955. Its city limits are North: Pembroke Rd, South: County Line Rd/Honey Hill Rd, East: US 441 (SR 7), and West: 1/2 mile west of US 27 (Everglades Conservation Area). The total land area is 31 square miles and its population as of April 01, 2006 was 110,332. Ironically, the word Miramar is Spanish for "Look at the Sea" and the city is not directly located near the Atlantic Ocean. In fact, it is located on the south west boarder of Broward County.
