Here's some tips for creating photos for  a home staging portfolio for new stagers - or freshening your established home staging website.
Because we build websites for home stagers, we are very aware that some stagers don't have a lot of photos, or photos they like for their website and home staging portfolio.
Using stock photos or "stealing" photos is not the answer!

I got such a good response when I posted My Favorite Home Staging Photo - What's Yours? That I decided to try it again. This time the question is "what is your favorite home staging vignette photo?"

I was asked by a reporter today, of all my home staging photos, which was my favorite. She didn't want to know which was my favorite project. She wanted to know which home staging photo I liked the best. I reviewed my home staging portfolio and I chose this one:

I wrote this blog post in December of 2009 and it's still relevant today.
During the past few days, the Real Estate Staging Association has been working on refining our position on the use of stock photos on home stagers websites.
The question came up: What are new stagers to do if they haven't gotten any staging jobs and therefore don't have any photographs to put in their portfolio.
