los angeles home stager: Los Angeles Home Staging|Why Should I Hire Moving Mountains Design? - 10/10/12 02:57 AM
What sets Moving Mountains Design apart from other Los Angeles home staging companies? It's very simple. We know what makes homes sell™! How do I know this? Time and again, the homes we stage sell in the first couple of weeks on the market, often with multiple offers, and often at or over the asking price.
Case in point: Last month we staged this Arcadia home. It had been on the market for 6 months with no offers. We staged it and gave the listing agent big, beautiful professional quality photos to use in marketing the home. 2 weeks later, the … (16 comments)

Sell your real estate investment properties faster and for a higher price!
How? Have your investment real estate staged by professional home stagers at Moving Mountains Design.
As a wise real estate investor, you know you have to spend a little money to make even more money. Home staging has been proven to help homes sell faster than unstaged home, usually for a higher price. In one study, published by the Real Estate Staging Association, staged homes sold 74% faster after they were staged than when they were unstaged. That resulted in lower holding costs and less time wasted, which equals … (15 comments)

los angeles home stager: Home Staging A Modern Loft In Valley Village - 07/05/10 07:41 AM
We recently completed staging this very chic and modern condo loft in Valley Village, Los Angeles. My clients are real estate investors who understand the added value that home staging brings to any real estate listing. Since I've staged several condos and model homes in Pasadena and Glendale for themthey've experienced first hand that home staging will help their listings sell faster and for more money. As a Los Angeles home stager, I have to be familiar with all areas of the Los Angeles area and understand who the buyers are and what they are looking for. This loft style condo … (19 comments)

los angeles home stager: Los Angeles Home Stager Gets Crafty With Fake Succulents - 04/25/10 07:16 AM
As I wrote in an earlier post Los Angeles Home Stager Gets Crafty With Silk Flowers, I enjoy making my own silk flower arrangements to use in my Los Angeles Home Staging projects. I enjoy the artistic aspects, I enjoy saving a little bit of money, but mostly I enjoy creating floral and plant arrangements that look exactly like what I want them to look like, so they strike the perfect note when I am staging a home in Pasadena or Los Angeles.
It was another beautiful day in Los Angeles, so I set up my flower arranging table on the … (23 comments)

los angeles home stager: My Favorite Home Staging Photo - What's Yours? - 04/22/10 06:27 AM
I was asked by a reporter today, of all my home staging photos, which was my favorite. She didn't want to know which was my favorite project. She wanted to know which home staging photo I liked the best. I reviewed my home staging portfolio and I chose this one:

This was the livingroom of a home I staged in Los Angeles (Valley Village). It was a very nice cottage, but really nothing about it really stood out, as home staging projects go. I didn't have a lot of time to choose the rug, so I chose this one, which … (36 comments)

los angeles home stager: Los Angeles Home Stager Gets Crafty With Silk Flowers - 04/19/10 08:03 AM
Over the years I've been a home stager, I collected boxes of silk flowers, plants, shells, rocks and moss to use in my home stagings in Pasadena, Los Angeles and Arcadia. Usually I just stick the silk flowers in a vase as I would with fresh flowers. I stick ferns around the base of my silk trees to fill in the opening between the decorative pot and the base of the plant.
Well, yesterday I decided to get crafty and make some silk flower arrangements to use in upcoming home staging projects. We've been really busy staging large homes, which eat … (23 comments)

los angeles home stager: A Video Interview With Pasadena Real Estate Agent Irina Netchaev - 02/26/10 03:36 PM
I was fortunate to have lunch with Pasadena real estate agent Irina Netchaev yesterday. Irina is an agent at Keller Williams Real Estate on Fair Oaks Ave. in Pasadena. Irina is something of a blogging and real estate website superstar, so I asked Irina if she would like to discuss the importance of a strong internet presence and why it's important for Pasadena home sellers.
Irina just returned from the Keller Williams Convention in New Orleans. At the conference she learned that now 90% of home buyers search on the internet before going out to look at homes. If your home … (7 comments)

los angeles home stager: A Real Estate Agent Gets Xtra Real About Home Staging (Video) - 02/26/10 03:45 AM
A Real Estate Agent Gets Real About Home Staging (Video). In this Xtranormal.com video I created, a real estate agent discusses home staging for an occupied home. The homeowner has staged the home herself after watching home staging programs on television.

I'm not sure why the home owner is carrying around a bottle of champagne. That's one of the joys (and great mysteries) of using XtraNormal text to video.

los angeles home stager: Los Angeles Home Staging a Cute Glendora Townhome - 02/21/10 05:27 AM
This past week we were hired to stage a very nice Glendora townhome that was seriously in need of some Los Angeles home stager love.
I was contacted by the homeowner who had read a recently published newspaper profile about me in the Pasadena Star News. Click here to read Pasadena Home Stager Gets Results
Another condo in her same development had gone on the market just before hers, was priced $1,000 more and was already in escrow. Her condo was vacant, the other was occupied and fully furnished, although it didn't appear to be professionally staged based on photos I … (19 comments)
