Clayhatchee, Alabama home to an Alabama Historic Marker.  The Providence Baptist Church organized on May 26, 1849.  The first Pastor was Ruben E. Brown. First Deacons of the Church were: William P. Bryan, Jesse Pouncey and Jonas P. Bell. The original Charter Members were: William Green, David Kelly, Kader Powell, Elizabeth Powell, Ardilla Green, Winny Lacy, Bill Fowler and Nancy Fowler.

The Daleville Public Library is having a bake, book and rummage sale.  The Daleville Library is located on Donnell Boulevard in Daleville.  The Event will be September 5-6 from 10 am until 3 pm.  
The Lower Alabama Veterans Alliance (LAVA) will hold its regular monthly meeting at 11 am on August 16 at the Daleville VFW, Post 6020.  The guest speaker will be Alabama State Representatvie Jay Love.  For more information on this organization call Fred Griffin at 334-445-1683.
