Livingston, NJ saw a 20% drop in home sales in the first quarter of 2008. Based on figures from the Garden State MLS, the average sales price of homes in Livingston, NJ dropped over $150,000 from $750,586 in 2007 to $598,696 in 2008. What we are seeing is an increase in sales of lower priced homes while those in the upper tier are staying on the market (much) longer.
