Situated along Kildaire Farm Road near the Heart of Cary, NC, thousands of people drive by these magnificent oak trees daily, and I think many folks never see them. They are twisted and contorted, and show the scars of generations of weather and storms.
They have been bothering me since the first of the year, when we moved our Keller Williams Realty offices into the Shannon Oaks office building. The neverending list of scams in the Raleigh area real estate section in CraigsList is quite impressive. Renting someone else's home out to an unsuspecting sincere prospective tenant just to steal the deposit money is another new low. Actually, this happened to a coworker in our Cary Keller Williams Realty office. We found her rental home listed on Craigslist where the scammer had copied and pasted the photo from Rent.com. The email address was apparently real: her full name and a yahoo email address. Yep, that's right. Claire Hanes helped me slip out of the transaction strait-jacket. It helps me be a better agent. And that is what I owe my clients, continuously improved agency. I'm a little bit of a control freak, so sometimes it is hard to let go of details. I'm a little excited that Family Reunion will be in the Southeast this time. I'm just hoping our Western US friends will find a way to attend. I know how tiring it is to fly across country for 4 days of maximum real estate immersion. Some of my coworkers will drive from Cary to Atlanta. My clients travel a little, and live just a few miles farther than our Keller Williams Cary real estate office from the new home site. And the spouse works long hours, and will have a difficult time seeing the construction of the home through its phases. What to do? I can usually find a few minutes most days, and have driven to the home site, and taken photos on a few occasions. Email would have been a little bit clumsy to send photos. Hmmmm.... Flickr! It was a delight to see Duane and Dani Frank, Stu Barnes, and George Wilson's names in print on the People's Forum page, along with some other very respectable industry voices.
