I recently shared a conversation with a colleague who practices real estate in a completely different area and market. The topics of our exchange varied until at some point, the chat shifted to the subject of business development and lead acquisition. One of the questions I'm often asked by sellers is, "Mike, do those "Just Listed" postcards really work? Are they effective?" My answer is, "Yes they do when they are carefully designed, professionally printed and engage the recipient." It's important to realize that we live in a society that is constantly being "sold" to. While the Do Not Call List has all but eradicated those pesky phone solicitations, we are still bombarded with television commercials, spam email, and junk mail.
