It seems the "gloom and doom" news outlets are reporting this housing crisis every which way you turn. And in some markets, that may very well be the case. Here in the Shoals Area, however, things seem to be ok, and the numbers back this up.

If you ever visit the NW corner of Alabama, you are sure to see some "Welcome to The Shoals" signs. You will also see several businesses with "Shoals" in their name, for example "Shoals Pest Control" or "Shoals Lighting". In fact, in the phone book, there are approximately 125 Businesses or Associations with the word "Shoals" in their name. What you won't see, is an address for "Shoals". Or "The Shoals". If you are trying to get here, your GPS might not even recognize "The Shoals". You see, "The Shoals" is made up of two counties: Lauderdale and Colbert, and five cities: … (0 comments)
