diamond head: Hawaii Five-O filming at Diamond Head 7-28-15

Hawaii Five-O's trucks are easy to spot. For one thing there are so many of them! Today at Diamond Head a caravan of big trucks was parked with electrical cables running along the ground, pop-up gazebos and crew members walking around. At the lookout overlooking Diamond Head cliffs these two cars were parked, a modern Camaro and a 1970 Corvette. Scott Caan (one of the stars of the TV show) was under one of the gazebos to the right in this photo. Downtown Honolulu seems to be popular for Hawaii Five-O filming. diamond head: Honolulu was FREEZING this Morning!

Well it FELT like it was freezing. Anybody from the Midwest to the East Coast will laugh at my "freezing" statement. This morning Oahu matched its record low temperature for this date, 59 degrees fahrenheit. It was nearly perfect for getting up and taking the dogs for a run first thing in the morning. Now it's 9:30 a.m. and the temperature is 72 degrees fahrenheit. The sun is out, this weather is perfect! No wonder so many Canadians come to Hawaii in the wintertime. Wish you were here? diamond head: Diamond Head is the best

A few weeks ago I got up at 5:30 a.m. for another Sunday run. As Ironman Lake Placid nears (July 22, 2007), it's time to do some long workouts to prepare for that grueling day. My current residence is near Iolani School in Honolulu, with a view of Diamond Head from the front door. I love it here. The run started off going through Kaimuki and up Kilauea Avenue in Kahala. It's a 1-mile long uphill, three laps are good training for Lake Placid's rolling hills. Then I continued to Wailupe Beach Park for some water, turning around and heading … (2 comments)
