New VA Appraisal Guidelines is a win for San Diego military homebuyers - As of July 1, 2012 new VA appraisal guidelines went into effect to help military homebuyers be more competitive in the housing market. The new guidelines reduced the timeline for the VA appraisal completion from 10 business days to 7. This shorter time frame helps VA buyers appeal more to sellers in a multiple offer situation and increase the buyers ability to meet the contractual obligations to close.
