Scheduling of Open Houses Suspended by NorthstarMLS Yesterday
Yesterday, the Executive Committee of NorthstarMLS voted to suspend all Open House scheduling in the NorthstarMLS system, until further notice. All prior published Open Houses have also been removed.
NorthstarMLS serves Minnesota and the border counties of western Wisconsin, including Saint Croix, Pierce, Pepin, Polk and Burnett, as well as Douglas, Ashland and Bayfield County.
The removal of Open Houses under this removal order also includes any IDX feeds or syndication sites which report Open Houses.

As most real estate agents know, the popularity of Contract for Deed dwelling sales has risen over the past several years, fueled by a lack of mortgage availability resulting from tightened loan qualifying standards. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Contract for Deed sales in Hennepin and Ramsey Counties rose 56 per cent between 2007 and 2012.
While most think of Contract for Deed sales as a risk for buyers, sellers are at risk as well.
