Moving to Lyons, Colorado? It’s one of the best places to live along the Front Range if you like views and spending time in the outdoors. Lyons has just over 2000 residents per the 2020 census. The town is part of the St. Vrain Valley School District and a great downtown district with shops, restaurants and a brewery. Living in town or the mountain communities surrounding it gives you the sense that you are away from the hustle and bustle. Yet, it is an easy commute to all of the cities along the Front Range. Living in the Rocky Mountains affords many a photographic opportunity. With grand mountain views and a plethora of wildlife, there is no shortage of sights to take in and capture with your camera or, nowadays, a nice cell phone. What I sometimes take advantage of are the macro photography opportunities. Close-up photos are fun and allow you to see a much different world than meets the eye. Living along the Little Thompson River, I'm blessed to have these tiny views of the ice formations that occur on the surface of the water.
