100,000 100,000 pointsWow!I knew it was coming, knew it was right around the corner. Yet I missed it! I have Don Rogers to thank for pointing it out to me - I had turned the corner on 100,000 points. I made it!So... what to say in my celebratory post?I have no idea.Google, help me!If you Google "100,000" all sorts of pages come up, with all sorts of articles and posts. Not all of them good. I quickly skipped over those. But one entry did catch my attention -The United States of America printed a one hundred thousand dollar bill!High denomination bills (15 comments)
active rain: Seth Godin's "Triiibes" could be as addictive as Active Rain!
- 08/01/08 04:57 PM
I think I may be in big trouble! Sharon Simms mentioned Seth Godin's new site, "Tribes" a day or so ago. At that time I had also received my invitation but had not done anything with it. I finally got around to looking at it tonight - and, boy oh boy - sleep is going right out the window. Very similar to Active Rain, Triiibes is set up on the premise of just that - we all lead our own "tribes." Be it our family, our employees, our civic groups. We interact with tribal characteristics. active rain: My 100th post - Finally, I get to celebrate, Active Rain style
- 05/20/08 01:08 AM
Remember when 100 seemed like such a HUGE number? Save 100 dollar bills? You've got to be kidding, that will take forever! Drive 100 miles - will we ever get there? Every year, my school aged children celebrate Day 100. They bring 100 of something to school to kick off the celebration. It's a week long party --

active rain: Security Words - What in the world do they mean?
- 04/12/08 02:01 PM
I've always wanted to write a post about the security words I see on the bottom of each page when leaving a comment. Since. joining Active Rain on December 1, 2006 I've seen 1,023 security words. My first comment was on a post by Mariana Wagner entitled: (Insert Catchy Blog-Rant Phrase Here) ...some thoughts... In my early Active Rain days the security words were simple, like pear, and were usually related to fruits or flowers. Here are my last ten security words. I had to look each and every one of them up. Thank goodness for Google, Wikipedia and the California Rare Fruit Growers. UME - The Japanese (8 comments)
active rain: Have I violated the Active Rain "Code of Ethics"?
- 04/03/08 03:05 PM
I'm feeling frisky tonight. I am going out on a limb. I am going to admit to something I probably shouldn't be admitting to. Tonight, I've already been on Active Rain for a few hours. I've read more than a few dozen blogs. But, I've been sadly disappointed - I've found very few to leave comment on. I like to leave comments. I have met some of my best AR friends by leaving comments on their blog and starting a dialog with that poster. I have learned a great deal by leaving comments then tracking the words that follow. So, back to my admission - in (16 comments)
