volunteering: Thankful Thursday-From volunteering to getting paid

On this 24th of September I am very thankful that I started volunteering about a month ago. I had been looking for something I could do to give back. An e-mail from my church started this whole new life for me. You never know when God has an new opportunity around the corner for you. I started out volunteering there about a month or so ago helping out with shipments of sneakers. Shoes were donated and we had to relace them and box them up to be shipped out. Since I moved here to Va a little over 3 yrs I have wanted to do something to volunteer. I have participated in several of them that the lady I work for is part of and I have enjoyed it tremendously but I wanted to find something I myself could do apart from that. Recently I received a e-mail from the church I attend that needed help with sneakers. That began what has become a fun part of my life. It is much more than about sneakers though.
