Area residents and business people in the Saline Community are celebrating today the fact that Saline has been named to CNN Money Magazine's annual list of "Best Places to Live: Top 100 in the United States". The list represents extensive demographic research that examines areas like financial performance, housing, education, quality of life, leisure and culture, and health. A complete list of the study's details is on their website (http://www.money.cnn.com/). Ann Arbor, MI ranks as the 5th best in the 2007 list of top places to live. This a according to Bert Sperling of Sperling's Best Places. The 10 major criteria that Ann Arbor was judged on were: 1) Economy and jobs 2) Cost of living 3) Climate 4) Education 5) Health and health care 6) Crime 7) Transportation 8) Arts and culture 9) Leisure 10) Overall quality of life Bert Sperling and Peter Sander are the authors of the book Cities Ranked and Rated.
