If you're like most of us, one of the great joys of going out of town is buying some local, hand-made item, such as toys and trinkets.  But, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act is looking to take away this joy from us and the livelihood of many local artisans. 
Because of such toy scares as the lead paint one, the CPSIA is coming down hard on those that make their money by selling such items to tourists.  In order to pass and have the legal right to sell your items, you have to pay between $300 to $4,000 per item.  … (0 comments)
