On our time at home, have you used it wisely? What have you been doing? I Just Earned the NAR Designation "SRES" Senior Real Estate Specialist I just completed the SRES designation course -with the number of baby boomers "coming of age"- I thought it may be a wise decision for this Gen X'er to make myself more familiar with what lies ahead. This course was a wealth of information and really touched upon things we don't necessarily cover in regular brokerage. ...And so it has happened...when you wake up and realize Generation X is ...well, getting older...I really feel like a 30 year old...but I am quickly reminded I am the next decade up now...so it is no surprise that we as agents need to be "hip with technology"... It has never been so important to know all the bells & whistles...and guess what...when you finally feel comfortable with it...it's going to change again...and so are the Millenial Buyers...it seems so foreign because they like doing leg work...but don't really care to speak on th ephone...they will go and view all the houses (0 comments)
You are always told in Real Estate as an Agent..." it's not about you"... so it's a hard thing to do to SHUT YOUR MOUTH when your buyers want to buy in a Neighborhood or Community that you know...THEY WILL NEVER RESALE OR GAIN EQUITY...I say never, ok...if they plan on staying there 15 years...MAYBE... What can you do? Send them other listings, ask what they love so much about this particular Community, tell them there is alot out there for less money...but then you are the expert...and anyone would tell you I am opionated and I have a big mouth...so (74 comments)

I saw this ad in my Sunday newspaper...it was about a waterfront piece of property, my first thought was ..."mmm-someone from that Community had called me weeks before and did not like their outlook of what I had shared price wise with them, they also were more than UPSIDE DOWN on their lot" ...I obviously did not list the property and told them they should talk to their bank or try and get an OK to do a Short Sale on the lot..then we could talk again... NOW...I am not sure it is them who put this ad in...but funny how (3 comments)
