florida hazard insurance: Tropical Storm Erika - Hazard Insurance Coverage

A helpful reminder to all of us working with Florida real estate transactions! Tropical Storm Erika is fast approaching, (and will remain within for a few days), the boundaries where no new, or increased homeowner's / hazard insurance coverage will be written. The boundary area used to be called a cone but is now a square and encapsulates all of Florida and much of the Southeast US. Storm awareness is simply a fact of Florida living and we are so happy we know many “quality” insurance providers and title companies who keep abreast of these situations.
