A Visit to The Old Mission State Park between Missoula MT and Coeur d'Alene ID in Cataldo, Idaho This summer I visited the Old Mission State Park outside of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, just a short distance from the Montana / Idaho State Line.You can tell from the pictures that it was a beautiful sunny day. With 16 ski areas in Montana, you could spend the entire winter tackling new downhill runs. My boss at my last company had this goal and actually made it to all 16 ski areas in one winter and had a great time. If you've ever been to Missoula, Montana during a Grizzly Football Game, the town seems pretty quiet. That's because almost EVERYONE is either at the game, or inside somewhere watching the game. Football is a serious sport in Montana, especially when we play our rivals the Montana State Bobcats or "Cats". The Cat / Griz rivalry goes way back and you will get an earful of Bobcat jokes the week before the game. In case you would like to see what all the fuss is about. idaho: Missoula Lake - A Hidden Getaway in the Lolo National Forest above Superior Montana

We spent this past weekend at Missoula Lake above Superior with my parents. Missoula Lake is a beautiful alpine lake full of cutthroat and rainbow trout, although they are difficult to catch. It's only a short walk from the road and there are great camping spots above. When we were there, the first winter snows had already hit and there was about 1/2" of snow on the ground and a dusting on the trees.
