Greetings from Door County! The recent, balmy December AND January weather has made outside holiday decorating (and un-decorating) a breeze, but all good things must come to an end....which makes us eagerly anticipate the 2021 season, which will be here before you know it. Open water, blue skies, your favorite attractions---everything you LOVE about Door County. However, with all of the recent fine weather, our developers have been busy completing new construction, and the past several days have allowed them to get things done that are generally difficult to do in winter. Working on a Peninsula surrounded by water, you WOULDN'T be surprised at how many frequent requests we get for waterfront property, but quite often people are actually surprised when the find out the benefits of a water VIEW home as opposed to owning an actual waterfront property. I'm a Door County waterfront specialist, which means I've had to sell a certain number of shore homes during my career to establish that criteria, and yet water view homes provide many benefits to consider over owning on the water.

It's a simple question with a long answer: why live in Sister Bay, Wisconsin?
It began several years ago where these things tend to begin, with the Village government. Sister Bay had a long-term plan to buy as much waterfront as it could, opening up the Bay to the general public.
Sister Bay made improvements to its public marina, considered the finest in northern Door County. Sister Bay doubled the size of its public beach.
