This is a weekend party in downtown Sister Bay that supports a very worthy cause, our local volunteer SBLG (Sister Bay/Liberty Grove) Fire Department and Emergency Responders. Memorial Day Weekend in Door County It's here....the 2022 "season" is here....and this weekend promised to be lovely with cherry and apple blossoms, lilacs just starting to bloom, sidewalk sales, people hiking our parks and strolling our beaches. Families enjoying our restaurants, music in the streets....and, of course, Door County sunsets and sunrises. It promises to be an amazing weekend.

I had to spend Friday in Milwaukee on business last week, but Sister Bay was the place to be this weekend, as Friday night and Saturday ushered in the Door County Short Film Festival (held in downtown Sister Ray), where for the princely sum of $5.00 you could see EVERY movie shown. Attendance was brisk, some standing room only, and this year featured films and filmmakers from across the State, Country and the GLOBE. The "No Vacancy" signs were out bright and early this morning. And that is no small accomplishment, as I began my morning in Gills Rock, 25 miles away from Egg Harbor's Pumpkin Patch Festival grounds--which include most of the downtown Village of Egg Harbor.
