calgary: Starting the Day Off Right

Have you notice it get's harder and harder to make it through the day without feeling tired, as time goes on? I used to feel this way. I had an ailment that was causing me to pack on more pounds than I needed and at an alarming rate. My cholesterol was going through the roof and I could barely climb a flight of stairs. That's when I decided to go on the raw food vegan diet. While I'm not fanatic about it, I have cut out almost all processed food, including anything that comes in a containter (except Granny's saurkraut), and most things (2 comments)
calgary: What is a Walk-Through?? - Real Estate Questions Answered

On occasion I will get a call from a real estate agent or member of the public, requesting that they would like to have their buyer do a walk-through a day or two before the agreed upon possession date. I'd like to clarify a some misunderstanding by the public about this out-dated notion as it relates to real estate purchase agreements in Alberta, and specificly Calgary. In days gone by, it seems that a walk through was an improperly conceived right, given the buyer by the mere fact that they had entered into purchase agreement with the seller. calgary: Competition Bureau Ruling - What it means to Consumers - Calgary, Alberta

There has been an awful lot of information being passed around about what the new rules agreed to by the Competition Bureau and the Canadian Real Estate Association. The new agreement which was ratified in October of 2010 was voted on by elected directors of the real estate boards across Canada. The directors were allowed one vote for every 500 members in their organization. There was no mechanism for soliciting the opinions of industry members to my knowledge. To the best of my understanding, the most notable change to the previous agreement was that pay-for-service models have now specifically been addressed. (2 comments)
calgary: Applying for Government Grant - Vista Heights, Calgary Action Committee

I attended a meeting of the Vista Heights Action Committee last night. One of the items on the agenda was how can we utilize our government grant allotments to best benefit the community. Here are the Guidlines for Applicants: 1) All projects must benefit residents of Crossroads Community, in Calgary, with special empasis on residents of Vista Heights. 2) Projects must be time limited with clearly idnetified goals and expected outcomes 3) Projects must fit with Vista Heights Action Committee Mission 4) Project must foster community participation & engagement of residents living in Vista Heights.
