They are BACK!!!!!Shoemaker & Hardt has been a wonderful part of the Historic Downtown Wylie area for many years. This Coffee Shop and Country Store is a favorite with residents all across Wylie and the surrounding areas. Its a place to grab a drink, sit and visit, or enjoy a game of chess, checkers, or mancala. They also sell the most adorable gifts and have vintage-style sodas and bulk candy. They officially re-opened this past weekend after an extensive hail-damage related remodel. As a native Texan, I have always had a sense of pride for our great state. (As you will see below, everything really IS bigger in Texas) However, even after taking Texas History as a required class in school, I never really knew all of this. Anytime there are less than 6-months of inventory available for purchase it is considered a Seller’s Market because there are more buyers than there are homes available for sale. This means that homes are selling more quickly and usually for top dollar.
