I'll be honest. I'm not particularly special when it comes to being a Realtor, or even a home stager (my previous career). I seem to be pretty good at online marketing, and I enjoy some social media (still not a fan of Linked In or Twitter, and I don't really get Instagram.) Dear friends question my sanity when I say that Google Plus is better than Facebook for my Jacksonville real estate business. I try to explain all of the benefits of SEO. I try to explain communities. I even try to explain the Nearby feature that allows me to network with complete strangers who live in my area. None of that gets through. I asked a question about AR and AuthorRank. What Happened Next was Shocking... Jumping feet first into the Google Plus pool, I've been trying to learn everything I can about the subject. 10 days later and 'my pretty face' is in Google searches! A big Thank you to Michael George and his blog post, Get Your Pretty Face To Appear In Google Search Results. I followed his instructions, including the ones listed in Can we get our faces to appear in Google for our ActiveRain blogs? Now 'my pretty face' is showing up.
The entire process took me less than five minutes, since I already had a Google account set up. I honestly spent more time checking each day for the results to appear than I did with the process of setting it up. Why should … (3 comments)

This morning I wrote a blog saying, Don't just SUGGEST the blog, G+ it & get them additional SEO rankings. Then David Grbih came along and suggested, "I would add that if you really like it, add the author to your Circles." David, what a great idea. Click over to your profile but your G+ account isn't listed. Then I went to do that with another commentor. Same thing. Then I checked each of the profiles for those who commented.
