mt pleasant: Don't 'SAVE MONEY' - hire a PROFESSIONAL! - 07/10/10 12:40 PM
I'm sure you've all heard it before - staging is so easy, it's just adding furniture... I can stage the home myself, I know real estate! etc etc etc.... there are many many excuses agents give for either not staging or not hiring a professional.  This little blog is about an ex-client who decided that we made staging look so easy that they didn't need us anymore.
This of course was after we had successfully staged and sold several of her listings - the last one with multiple offers.....
I had not even realized that she was staging her own listings … (16 comments)

mt pleasant: Staged and on the Market in one of Mt. Pleasant's best communities, I'on - 07/05/10 01:54 PM
Today we finished up staging one of the most beautiful homes that I've had the opportunity to work in, located in one of Mt. Pleasant's best communities - I'on. This community has that great small town feeling and is in walking distance to local shops, restaurants and parks (actually the park is just across the street!).  With a HUGE wrap around porch, this 5381 sqft, 4 bdrm, 6 bath home will leave you breathless... unbelievable gorgeous heart pine floors, crown molding throughout, 12' beamed ceilings and a truely gormet kitchen.... check it out... (don't forget to look at the additional photos)

mt pleasant: Staging Pays off - Under Contract in Park West, Mt. Pleasant in less than 24 hrs! - 09/26/09 11:43 AM
One of the things stagers and agents need to stop talking about is how much staging costs.  in today's market we need to talk about the INVESTMENT of staging.  Staging doesn't cost nearly as much as it provides in saved time on market and higher offers.
Recently a Realtor in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant market took the CSP Elite Agent course and received her CSP Affiliate Designation.  When I arrived for her first staging consultation for a vacant unit that she personally owned she already knew the benefits staging would provide.  We discussed which rooms we thought would provide the most value in … (9 comments)

mt pleasant: The Southern National BBQ Championship & Bluegrass Festival, Mt. Pleasant, SC - 08/19/08 03:26 PM
Today, driving by Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant SC, my best friend/assistant noticed a sign that had us immediately on the phone with my husband.  Larger than life - billboard sized to be exact - was a sign that stated that Boone Hall would be hosting a BBQ and Bluegrass festival that would feature Ralph Stanley & The Cliff Mountain Boys.  Ok, to be truthful I didn't know who this was until she said, "You know, that band that sings the song that your husband constantly watches on O' Brother Where Art Thou?"  Ok... now I knew exactly what she … (1 comments)

mt pleasant: The only one in this neighborhood.... Are you taking notes? - 01/14/08 05:55 AM
Grassy Creek in Mt. Pleasant is a great little neighborhood.  The homes are well built and attractive.  There is an active community association and plenty of amenities.  In September, an agent for one of sellers in this community contacted us.  The seller was moving, the home was now going to be vacant.  It had already been on the market for 3 months.
We staged this $650,000 property on September 25, 2007.  On January 7th, the home went Active Contingent.  While this may not seem like a particularly quick sale, consider this.
On the date of contract, there were 11 active properties in Grassy … (19 comments)

mt pleasant: RESA Announces Rookie of the Year Winner - Mt Pleasant's Bevin Googer! - 01/13/08 01:43 PM
I met Bevin a year and a half ago on a staging consultation.  (She was the agent.)  We talked for a long time about my job and that I was going to begin training stagers in Summerville.  She was very excited and after several phone calls and lunches she left real estate and joined my class.  I trained her January 3-7, 2007.  Since then I've watched her grow and develop into an amazing stager and business woman.  She is now one of my best friends & business partner.  (We merged businesses this month.)
Tonight we found out that she just won the … (4 comments)
