With the cold spring and current economic woes, real estate market has been sluggish. However, the activity has been picking up in the recent weeks. Good news is that the foreclosure homes have been selling and there are fewer of them available. In general, the inventory has come down and buyers experience a lot more competition now.

inneapolis is called City of the Lakes for a reason: one of its main recreation areas is the Chain of Lakes. Lake Harriet features 67 acres of land and 344 acres of water. It is very popular destination for walking, biking, rolerblading and biking for thousands of residents each year. Music has been part of the life at Lake Harriet. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the bandshell is home to variety of music and musicians: from classical to rock. These are free events and are always very well attended.

SW Minneapolis real estate market continues to improve this spring. April weather in our area was very finicky. Temperatures below average, rain and even some snow (mostly in western and northwestern Minnesota, those areas received 6-12 inches!). Since weekends are usually the time when most people shop for homes, the weather halted that activity a couple of times. As you see, there are many homes that have been on the market for months now. The total market time of currently active listings ranges from 1 day to whoping 487 days, and the average is 154 days on the (2 comments)
