I think most people would agree that in tough economic times your marketing plan is even more important. Your plan is the marketing outline your business should follow and grow with, even in tough times. You may have to redefine your plan to the current economic climate but you should still follow your plan. Your plan will help you decide where you money should go. For those of you who have not heard yet, Google can now read your scanned documents. This is pretty huge and adds another dimension to your SEO. If you put scanned documents on your website you are going to want to make sure you practice some good SEO with those documents. I for one am always amazed how fast some website get crawled by the search engine bots. I use Google Alerts to notify of many different words and phrase, including my name. I posted a new Blog last night and the time stamp between here and my email was only 50 minutes. That is very fast and many of my Blogs on ActiveRain have been indexed in less than 90 minutes. Though it was first denied by the Board of Directors they did admit that there is a certain amount of cooperation between the U.S. Government and AT&T which is dictated by law.

I recently received some email from a couple of "SEO Gurus" who took offense to a blog I recently did about the cost of SEO. Now I am not sure who declared these gentlemen SEO Gurus but I know it was not me. The problems they have with me are the statements I made about the cost of SEO. There seems to be a misconception that SEO firms must charge thousands of dollars a month for SEO to effective.
