keller williams: 10 things I love about my home town.....
- 02/24/11 12:36 PM
From Anna Matsunaga, Team Momentum Keller Williams Realty Tacoma www.teammomentumrealestate.com 253 353 2662 My first impression of Tacoma was not a particularly good one. I got this impression as a child coming to annual conventions with my parents at the Tacoma Dome. The area around the Tacoma Dome was about all I saw of Tacoma....industrial and in many cases seedy and a bit run down at the time. Never at that time did I dream I would end up living here, making it home and raising my children here. Funny how things change. Now as a resident of Tacoma since 1992, there (4 comments)

keller williams: Yet another way a Realtor may be able to help you....even if you are not buying or selling now.
- 06/27/10 06:28 PM
From Anna Matsunaga, Team Momentum, Keller Williams Realty Tacoma www.teammomentumrealestate.com Day before yesterday I was grocery shopping when I struck up a conversation with the lovely woman who always helps us in healthfood. Not sure how we got on the topic, but she began to talk about her home, she has no intention fo selling it, or buying another right now or likely any time at all, but really I am so glad for her sake she started talking RE with me. Why? Well she mentioned that even with the very large reductions in value in the last year or so (2 comments)
keller williams: I am buying or selling a house now, I don't need a realtor do I? Or do I? Part 2

From Anna Matsunaga, Team Momentum, Keller Williams Realty Tacoma www.teammomentumrealestate.com 253 353 2662 If you had some one who could be a resource for you and who could make your life easier and save you money and did not even charge for this service would you use them as a resource? Of course you would. This is why you need our team as your personal and family real estate consultant. See most people think they just need a Realtor when they are thinking about buying or selling a home. Reality is you would benefit from my services much more often than that, (1 comments)
Right now with where the economy is many are choosing not to sell their homes for the time being and many who might normally be looking @ buying, especially with where interest rates are now, are not because they can not at the moment meet the down payment requirements or credit score requirements or for some other reason are not able to get a loan. ( incidentally if you think you fall into one of those categories, but have not verified it for sure, call me I would (0 comments)
On April 8th I joined thousands of others around the country and went bare foot for the entire day for the One Day With Out Shoes campaign put on my toms shoes. I was nervous because I was not too sure what my day would hold or what I would need to do that day. Not only that I was scheduled to meet a new client, an investor who had no idea I would be showing up to meet her with a baby or sans shoes....
A couple weeks ago I was up late working on a listing for a new client when one of those ads that are on the side came up, now normally these ads are just visual "white noise" for me. I don't even look at them. However this one caught my eye. One Day Without Shoes. I clicked on it. It was information about TOMS, a shoe company that I had never heard of (shows you how much I've spent at Nordstroms recently!) They donate a pair of shoes to (9 comments)
Tips for making your home sell faster and for more in a buyer's market. 1. Price, this is key, no matter how nice your home, if it is overpriced many potential buyerswill never even see it. There are plenty of good deals out there now and yours must compete. If yours is not a short sale and is in good condition, it can be a little higher thank the not in as good of shape bank owned & distressed properties and still sell, but not (2 comments)
1. I will never master everything in Real Estate, and just when I master a part of it,thegame changes. 2. It will always be fresh and new and I will always be learning because of #1 3. If you always are looking out for the best interest of your clients, even when that seems to conflict with your interests ( ie like when a bank cuts your commission, but you accept it so that your client's short sale can go through) in the (45 comments)
Just got done reading a note my younger sister posted on Facebook about her year and she posted 10 significant things that happened with her life in the last year. Reading it made me think and I realized way more than 10 significaant things happened to me in the last year, well 14 months actually....Pretty much in order of occurance
1. I had over 70K of commissions that were all mine all in escrow @ one time. 2. My husband and I decided we would try again to have our (4 comments)
I started blogging just a little over a year ago and I made personal rules for myself when I started. If I had something really really negative it would not go in a blog. I would only write good reviews for local businesses, if it was one I could not honestly do that for, then I would not write it. If I disagreed I would be very very civil or I would say nothing at all. If some one made a bad comment that was harmful I would delete, if (4 comments)
I know for many agents the week end is a main time to work. I am sure some of those who do make more than I do. I am sure I have missed opportunities to make moeny because I did not work. However I am thankful that I hardly ever work a Sunday. I have had people who got my voice mail when my message said I would get back with them during business hours if they called on Sunday leave messages saying I must not be all that (3 comments)
From Anna Matsunaga, www.teammometumrealestate.com Hey, just got done reading "Who Moved my Cheese" the book is very applicable to life, easy to read, ( I read the whole thing in well under 30 minutes, but of course I am a speed demon reader) I like the whole concept of the book and the story makes you remember the point so well. I think we can all see a bit of ourselves in each of the characters.
This book is a good read for all of us in our professional and personal lives, especially with the changing economic (14 comments)
keller williams: The "Crud"
- 12/17/08 12:56 PM
It's funny I always forget why it is I get less done in December than any other month of the year. I have this fuzzy memory as I approach the winter of the fact that the kids are home from school over half of the month, but child care can help iron that out.
I remember that fewer folks are shopping during the holidays.
What I forget is that I have been deathly ill during absolutely every December since I started in RE. It started @ the end of last month with the whole family getting influenza one at (7 comments)
keller williams: commitment
- 12/02/08 05:06 AM
In this market, there are a few things that will make you or break you in this current market. Bottom line is that everyone of us need to get back to basics. It's strange though that I see many agents not doing much other than complaining about the market. What it really will take in this market is for us to be committed. Committed to our trade, committed to learning more (this is a knowledge based market) and commitment to our clients and committment to going back to basics and being very very consistent with it.
Every agent who is hurting (6 comments)
keller williams: Running on empty

The industry is changing so fast that it has taken even the most prepared of us by surprize. I am like many others who are out there selling Real Estate finding ways to work through this shift and run my business on less and to adapt. I think the hardest part of it is keeping your head together when it seems everyone around you is losing theirs. It can also be demoralizing to be working and not getting paid ( right away) For me the last 6-8 weeks have been really really strange. I have never had so much in escrow at (5 comments)
keller williams: Crossing the invisible line......
- 09/04/08 06:44 PM
I've only been in real estate for 5 years, but I have found a theme in my transactions and in fact my life. The reoccuring theme is crossing an invisible line. It's about passion and purpose and decisions too. Some of you know right now what I am talking about and some of you will understand in a few sentences, because you live your life too crossing this invisible line. Others may not know what I am talking about and if you don't, at some point you will have to decide if you will cross it or not. What I am talking (98 comments)
