mountain views: Something We Like to Call...A View!

Driving home this afternoon at around 5:30 showed clearly that the promise of the return of afternoon sun is back. Always good to see the Winter Solstice come and go...it means that the daylight hours are getting a bit longer. A month ago, 5:30pm was almost dark...boooooo. Today, we still had another half hour of daylight left. Soooooo happy :-D Here's a little view from Hwy 64 approaching the Town of Franklin from the west. mountain views: Green Man in Sylva Vista - Wordless Wednesday

Another photo from one of my many visits to Sylva Vista. I am intrigued by the legend and artwork of the Green Man and like to capture the images whenever they move me. Green Man, for me, reminds me that we all must act as guardians for nature and our planet. Our role is to act as mentors and role models to others, be visible as we treat the world as kindly and ethically as we wish to be treated. Ahhhh, the Golden Rule again...

There are probably lots of reasons. The musical and artistic population is a great attraction, as is the laid back lifestyle. There isn’t as much of the “keeping up with the Jones’s” attitude…that’s a plus. We do have one of the best “backyards” in the nation.
Did I mention the views?
