Holy Cow! Living in a region that has four distinct seasons is very awesome. There's a lot of evidence outside that autumn is on it's way here in the mountains, cooler nights, lower humidity and leaves covering the ground. For the first time in a long time I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to summer yet. When I was going through some photo files, I came across this cow photo from the East Fork community of Sylva taken early in the summer of 2010. Location, location, location…we got the phone call from the sellers that they’d be interested in talking to us about listing their Holly Hills house in Jackson County. We were excited. It had been listed with a different agent and I’d already shown it with the then listing agent present who happens to be a gentleman. He just has a different listing philosophy than we do.

Do you remember the neighborhood in Dillsboro a week or so ago, it wasn’t exactly lakefront property although to the inhabitants it probably felt like a lake. Well, that all changed a couple of days ago. Leslie told me she had trouble sleeping one morning thinking about Karla’s tadpoles and the upcoming Rafters and Crafters Festival going on today. She had a vision of covering the water filled pothole with a shipping pallet to keep kids from splashing through the sanctuary or worse someone driving through it. The Laurel Hills neighborhood is located just minutes outside of Dillsboro, NC. Easy access with paved roads throughout neighborhood. This home has lots of living space and storage room. Three bedrooms and two baths on main level PLUS an open staircase leads to a huge finished basement with large bonus room (could easily become fourth bedroom or rec room) and there is a third full bathroom downstairs. Most of these trees are hardwoods and house a healthy bird population, there's a perfect back deck for people who love to watch birds.

This festival is popular with visitors and locals, people of all ages attend with their babies, their grandparents, their dogs and ferrets? Yes, ferrets...keep looking at the photos, there were three ferrets in attendance!

Its A Beautiful House in East Fork Acres Our Open House at 1064 Middle Ridge Road in Sylva, NC was a success. In spite of the distance from town, we had a good turnout of local brokers and some members of the public. neighborhoods near sylva: Juduculla Rock in Cullowhee, NC

Sure, it looks like a big rock. Nothing special? Completely special! This huge rock sits not far from Western Carolina University. The special thing is that it is covered with hieroglyphics from the Cherokee people thousands of years ago. It sits outside of a beautiful pasture and is protected by a simple link chain. How great to live and work in an area and be able to visit these pieces of history while showing properties! This rock sits unmolested by graffiti - a marvel in and of itself.
