In this update, we are going to focus on major changes to the FHA program that we expect will be implemented in 2010, starting later this month.  FHA Commissioner Dave Stevens and his team have been reviewing FHA's performance data and operations for several months and we believe there will be dramatic changes to the FHA program and policies.

This is some encouraging news, Brooke. Record Streak Continues for Pending Home Sales !Pending home sales have increased for seven straight months, the longest in the series of the index which began in 2001, according to the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.
The Pending Home Sales Index, a forward-looking indicator based on contracts signed in August, rose 6.4 percent to 103.8 from a reading of 97.6 in July, and is 12.4 percent above August 2008 when it was 92.4. The index is at the highest level since March 2007 when it was 104..5.

 Don't miss out on the first-time homebuyer tax credit of $8,000! Eligible buyers must complete their purchase before December 1, 2009...that's right, the tax credit expires on November 30th not December 31st.

arizona real estate: 12,392 pending sales of single family dwellings in Maricopa County - 09/23/09 11:25 AM
It seems the amount of pending sales keeps going up.  My big question is how many of these 12,392 sales will close.  Recent research shows that only 1/3 of all pending deals are closing.  Many reasons include, appraisals coming in too low, inspections uncovering too many problems, lenders changing their funding rules last minute, well really the list can go on and on.  I'm trying my best to make sure all my pending transactions will close by doing the "extra" work and for-seeing challenges before they arise.  So far it has helped by attending all the inspections, but most importantly seting up … (2 comments)
