The local news for the Nashville area is REALLY GOOD!! I have been seeing numbers (volume of sales) improve, probably due in part to the first time homebuyer's credit, and have been interested to see if they stay solid through June and into July. I have been looking over all the numbers this morning and am very encouraged. The links are below. The summary is that we are seeing volume increases of over 20% in the numbers of houses selling! The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors has released the Home Sales information for the Greater Nashville area for April 2009. Their most current press release shows that house sale volume is down, but there are still a good number of deals pending. GNAR May 2009 MLS press release. They also updated their annual numbers for 2009. Click here for that report. The result is that there is still a good inventory of houses and buyers can get a reasonable price on a house.
