nh coastline: Nubble Light in York Maine - 01/25/13 04:15 AM
Nubble Light York Maine
Jay and I often take rides along the coast of NH and on this day we ended up in Maine at Nubble Light. This is one of our favorite spots to visit, especially in the off season. It is always so lovely no matter the time of year. We've been here to watch the Christmas holiday lights  get truned on at the Light House, watch the waves whip the shore during snow stroms, during bitterly cold windy conditions and the sea is majestic no matter what time of year.
We hope you all enjoy our videos and this little … (3 comments)

nh coastline: Happy 2012 - 01/02/12 07:00 AM
How lucky are we that we live in a free nation, a beautiful country called the United States of America and that all of us have places in our own little piece of this world that area special to us. Places where we can think, find peace and just plain enjoy. This little spot along the side of the road in Rye New Hampshire is such a place for me.
Happy New Year and may 2012 bring you all good health, peace, happiness and prosperity!

nh coastline: NH Bikers...Seacoast Grenway grand opening - 09/20/08 01:39 AM
If you enjoy the outdoors especially walking and biking you'll love the New Hampshire Seacoast Greenway!
In case you don't know what that is, it's a proposed rail trail system from the Massachusetts border to Maine and while currently it is on road the hope and goal is for an off road system.
Jay and I enjoy our bikes but truth be told riding on the street can be scary at times, so I'd love an off road system. Join the celebration grand opening on today Saturday September 20th.
There are two rides planned today as well as a walk. The … (6 comments)

nh coastline: A pretty little ocean beach in Seabrook NH...(LOCALISM FEATURED) - 07/09/08 03:36 PM
Seabrook Beach NH
New Hampshire only has 18 miles of coastline, but all 18 miles are beautiful and very changeable. Dotted through-out those 18 miles are 6 public access beaches and one of them is Seabrook Beach.
Seabrook Beach has long been over shadowed by the Nuclear Power Plant…an ugly blight on what would normally be a pretty landscape.
The beach itself is small and clean and never really crowded. Seabrook is nestled between the two popular beach towns of Salisbury Mass and Hampton NH.
Next time you’re in the area visit Seabrook and be sure to try a seafood chowder … (15 comments)

nh coastline: New Hampshire a waterfront mecca... - 06/27/08 01:32 PM
Summer in NH…a true waterfront mecca.
I love summer in New Hampshire. I love our rocky coastline and our wonderful lakes and ponds.
New Hampshire has so many lakes, ponds, streams and rivers that water recreation can be found just about everywhere.
The list is huge starting from the First and Second Connecticut Lakes, Lake Francis, Umbagog Lake, Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam Lake, New Found Lake, Winnisquam Lake, Big Island Pond, Pawtuckaway Lake to name just a few and then of course there are The Rivers.
We can't forget rivers like the Connecticut River, Piscataqua River, and the Merrimack River. Most offer … (9 comments)

nh coastline: A swan by the side of the road in Rye NH - 06/21/08 02:07 PM
Did you know that they bite? I didn't and thank god I didn't because I probably would not have stayed there and filmed.
We were on our way to Portsmouth NH to have lunch with Ann Cummings when a thick fog bank rolled in and covered everthing.
Up in Rye on the side of the road we encountered a huge white swan, several little ducks and a sky rat (seagul) all playing in a swamp covered in lily pads.  I shot a few short videos and posted them on my outside blog. If you want to watch them click here>>> http://monikamcgillicuddy.com/wordpress/

nh coastline: Portsmouth NH...No need to look for a reason to drink - 05/31/08 11:40 AM
I love the town of Portsmouth NH and our whole seacoast area for that matter.
Fellow Active Rain blogging diva Ann Cummings lives and works in Portsmouth which is just the most coolest town.
I am so jealous!
How cool is Portsmouth? Check this out...

It's supposed to be a gorgeous day tomorrow and what better way to end it then by walking around Portsmouth and casting your vote in the Cocktail Competition.
Head over to the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside at 250 … (13 comments)

nh coastline: New Hampshire's Seacoast a Magical Winter Wonderland - 12/16/07 07:10 AM

We had out of town guests this week and they wanted to see our wonderful NH coastline in the winter.
Usually you see lots of sun and sand when on the coast but we absolutely love our small coastline in all seasons.
We don’t often get to show it off in the winter time…So I was really looking forward to doing so.
I knew if the timing was right it could be magical.
Magical it truly was with lots of fresh snow on the ground. We had about 6-8 inches of light fluffy snow the night before and it was … (28 comments)
