Most Northern Maine Farmers Are Wrapping Up The Harvest. Super weather for getting the crop out and tremendous vibrant colors with the fall foliage this year. But look at this shot of the Meduxnekeag River in Houlton snapped off the Highland Avenue bridge to the right. Fish will need sneakers to maneuver up or down stream! At the mouth of this river which comes from Drews Lake, there is no water going over the dam...first I have ever seen that sight! Wells are fine, harvest has been easy, warm and dry.
