Thanks for posting this about your dad. My dad, Leon Tabor, also was a B-24 tail gunner - 15th Air Force – he was shot down 70 years ago tomorrow on a bombing run from his base in Bari, Italy over Hitler’s oil refinery complex at Ploesti, Romania. Like your dad, he was small and wirey; he believes that they chose him to be a tail gunner because he fit well into the turret.

With newspapers, television programing, it is a publication, broadcast that comes out, and you are fed the news. One way communication. Oh sure, newspapers have tried to straddle websites for local readers to upload local images, videos, bean supper events in their zip code. But still pretty much one way communication. Other than a little space for the editorials, letters from the readers that are short, sweet, only a phone booth size of the total paper "square footage" media dimensions.
