Servicemen and women around the globe, hunkered down and with a soldier's job to do and easily forgotten unless you have a family member in the same trenches. The 2 in the morning alert about a troop plane landing at your local airport gets volunteers, greeters in to gear. Sometimes the troop greeting is highly organized for one lone soldier.
In Bangor Maine, there is one highly publicized network to make sure a plane full of troops if they are passing through BIA airport are going to get a warm, local welcome.
