deadline: The Deadline made me do it!

Have you ever noticed how much we get done when there is a deadline? That isn't to say we are procrastinating, but simply somehow are minds are wired to get it done in crunch time. Years ago, my ex-wife was even known in her family as a "crisis cleaner", only cleaning the day of a gathering. Okay, bad example.
