denver homes for sale: Rules for Clotheslines..Who Remembers This?? - 03/06/11 12:19 PM
Remember how fresh smelling and crisp the sheets were after being hung out to dry( so to speak).  I think they have candles with that same smell. On a hot summer night it felt to good to crawl into bed and be blessed with cool crisp sheet with a magnificent smell of freshness.
You have to be a certain age to appreciate this.   THE BASIC RULES FOR CLOTHESLINES: Don't know what a clothesline line is? Call your grandmother..
1. You had to wash the clothes line before hanging any clothes--walk the entire lengths of each line with a damp cloth around the lines. 2. You … (5 comments)

denver homes for sale: How to Read Bar Codes...Buy USA - 01/25/11 10:15 AM
I always thought bar code were just a mess of lines and numbers.  The numbers at the bottom of the code will tell you where the product was made.
With most of the food and even pet products coming from China you might want to read the codes when shopping at Wal-Mart and grocery stores. It seem like most products don't tell you where the products are made but just where the distributor is located.
If you want to track down where the product was made check the bar codes.
Here is how to translate what the numbers mean:

denver homes for sale: Politeness is Simply Good Manners - 01/02/11 09:04 AM
As I am walking through the grocery store, which is not my favorite thing to do, I hear this man yelling on his cell phone.  He is from another country so it was twice as annoying.  I changed isles to get away from him and there he is again, still yelling on his phone.  I changed isles to other side of the store and here he comes again still on the phone. I could not get away from him. At the check out he is now behind me. He had no idea that you don't need to yell in the phone because of the sensitive microphone.
Good manners … (10 comments)

denver homes for sale: Key to a Secure Password... How Many Do We Need? ..Just One - 12/13/10 05:19 PM
When passwords first were needed I had a simple one and I only needed one.
Then the hackers started hacking into accounts so the web sites started beefing up security.  Now I need more letters. Then banks wanted yet more security so now I have to add numbers or funny little characters.
Then the shopping web sites want extra long passwords.  So by now I have pages of user names and passwords. I can't seems to remember which user name and passwords belong to which sites.  It would take days to go back and change them all to long, numbered … (6 comments)

denver homes for sale: Here Are the Reasons to Buy a House-1st Time Home Buyers - 12/08/10 11:15 AM
Here are the Reasons to Buy A House -1st Time Home Buyers
* The interest rates can't get much lower.  The lower the rate the more house you can buy. Your payment will fit your budget and you will pay less interest to your mortgage company.
* You can, at this point,  still deduct all of the interest and the property taxes that you paid on a yearly basis.
* No worries about having to move because your landlord is in foreclosure or worry about every nail hole you put in the wall. Losing a deposit and moving every year??
* Do … (0 comments)

denver homes for sale: A Different Kind of Christmas Poem..Please Read and Listen - 12/07/10 10:35 AM
A Diffrent Kind of Christmas Poem
This poem, played with music, will open your heart for the holidays. It was written by one of our troops letting us know that they don't want to be forgotten. As we are celebrating in our comfortable familiar place called home, their Christmas home has no tree, shiny lights, Christmas carols or hot cider by the fire. No family hugs are available and they can't see the stars in their childrens' eyes on Christmas morning as they open gifts from Santa.

Funny Bumper Sticker..and Speaking of Christmas Lights
So here it is Christmas AGAIN!  How will the Sellers decorate their house and yet still allow enough of the house visible to the buyers?
Here's a bumper sticker that says it all.
As agents we probably should explain to the Sellers to be gentle with the decorations and not go over board with "stuff".
We might suggest to them to wrap empty boxes instead of the real gifts.  Small boxes can easily be taken away.
Instead of lights on the house they could put colored spotlights facing the house.  Hopefully they won't use the … (6 comments)

denver homes for sale: How Would You Like This In Your Back Yard? - 11/28/10 09:35 AM
Seems like the Fox, Bears and Coyotes and coming to town to dine on people food. This beautiful animal was found in my friends yard snooping around for food.  He tossed the Fox some chicken and did he ever go after it.  He even came back the next day for more chicken.. Hopefully this won't become a habit.. but if my friend keeps feeding the Fox it will probably bring family and friends for Christmas dinner.
The house with the fence is in a subdivision not in the mountains.  How these animals find their way around is a mystery and amazing that they find their way back to … (10 comments)

While I'm waiting for our Thanksgiving meal to sautee' bake and boil I thought I would blog.....
It feels so good to prepare a big meal with special foods for Thanksgiving.  I actually find it relaxing getting into the kitchen instead of Real Estate with all it's drama. It's nice to really have time to think a meal through before preparing instead of just grabbing whatever is in the freezer and getting it on the table.
I am  feeling like I really have a life and there is more to it than just Real Estate.  Real Estate is like a drug of … (11 comments)

As women we do what comes naturally and forget how really strong we are and resiliant to so many things. We are the caretakers of our families and the one they come to when they need nurturing.  No matter how we feel or what our day has been we are there for our family needs.
We don't get a sick day off we just keep on going to get things done.
Wishing the women … (5 comments)
