denver relocation: Buyers Are Getting Smarter - 10/28/10 04:54 AM
It seem from previous surverys that the McMansions are not so much in demand.
The younger generation wants what Mom and Dad took years to accomplish and they want it now.
In our area the new home builders are scaling back on the sizes of the houses because of demand and price point. Around 2600 square feet is the acceptable size for most buyers. They want a simpler lifestyle.
Most buyers are under 45 years old with household incomes of $75,000.
Buyers are smart these days knowing the economy isn't at it's best with some believing it will only get … (1 comments)

denver relocation: History Of Halloween - 10/26/10 09:36 AM
History of Halloween
Halloween is a fun time for the kids and some adult parties. It's nice that dayight savings time starts after Halloween night so the kids will remain safer. In Denver our first snow usually lands on Halloween but hopefully not this year,
The name "Halloween" began as "All Hallows Eve." This became "All Hallow E'en," leading to "Hallowe'en," or Halloween. It was the evening before All Hallows Day, which was later called All Saints' Day. (In this case, "hallows" meant "saints.")
All Saints' Day, a feast for all martyrs and saints, was celebrated on November 1st for the … (0 comments)

New Homebuyer Tax Starts September 2010 - 08.09.10
And yet another change to FHA. This new "tax" will increase the buyers payments on a $200K house by $43.  As FHA sees fit to increase the ta, the amount  can reach as high as $152  per month. Looks like FHA needs more money so I'm thinking ease up on the guidelines so more 1st time home buyers can get FHA loans.  Is that too hard to understand?
This video explains it all in easy terms we can understand.

denver relocation: Explanation of Your FICO Score - 08/09/10 06:51 AM
Explanation of your FICO score  is sometimes very confusing.  Here is a brief summary of what it all means when applying for a mortgage to buy your dream home.
When you apply for a mortgage loan, you expect your lender to pull a credit report and look at whether you've made your payments on time. What you may not expect is that they seem to be more interested in your "FICO" score.                                                                                                "What's a FICO score?" is a common reaction. Each time your credit report is pulled, it is run through a computer program with a built-in scorecard. Points are awarded … (2 comments)

Denver Off Leash Dog Park
I often take our 2 dogs to off leash dog parks. She felt a freedom she never felt before. PLaying fetch with her … (2 comments)
