The name of our firm is Alpine Lakes...I assure you we didn't pull that out of our hat. We specialize in properties in the White Mountains and Lakes Region of the state. Today's photos come to you from atop Rattlesnake mountain in Holderness over looking Squam lake and from the Pemigewasset river that snakes its way down from Loon Mountain.
Looking south east over the big lake you can see more lakes in the distance.
Nothing says New Hampshire like a lake side camp.
For those that like the rivers and streams...we have tons of them, the Pemigewasset (13 comments)
The Ice along the river has broken apart to reveal the deep blue hue of a winters worth of accumulations.
The brooks, streams and rivers are all flowing again. Sending the water south towards the farmers fields and eventually the Atlantic ocean.
The snow mass is mainly on the peaks above 4,000 feet (9 comments)
alpine lakes real estate lincoln nh: Slope side homes on Loon Mt - Lincoln NH.

I have written numerous times about the slope side homes on Loon Mountain, and shared photos of the homes my in-house Adirondack design / build team have constructed for clients. But today something a bit different, photos of homes taken from the actual trails...that the owners ski home from /&/ to.
Note the Stair Case built to allow the owners to walk up to the slopes from their ski room built for convenience.

Given the choice most people would choose new construction over settling for someone else’s’ vision of a perfect home.
I get frustrated by the people we are building for, when they either can't make a decision or don't understand how the decision they do make will impact how well the home functions for them, and how the whole building process is affected by a last minute change. Selecting cabinet styles or flooring is one thing, but when asked where to locate outlets or what switch will operate which light; most homeowners have no idea what to do. A (7 comments)

alpine lakes real estate lincoln nh: Loon Mt Early January Ski report.

I haven't seen so many guns going at one time in a number of years. At this pace I would assume all of the South Peak slopes will be open be the weekend. The North Peak Trails were all up and Running...all were in nice shape, I skipped Upper Walking Boss as that too had more than 30 snow guns blasting away.
It was a dark-ish day today and snowed intermittently - that combined with the New tower guns, made it a light lens day for goggles.
I took out my brand new skis today...that truly shows (7 comments)
No marks on this carpet of Corduroy, something most skiers rarely see unless they are on the first lift of the day. It was time to crank out a few quick top to bottom runs, as two short sales have to be negotiated and a land closing require my (2 comments)
alpine lakes real estate lincoln nh: Lincoln New Hampshire Foliage on the Pemi and the Kanc.

Unless you have traveled through Lincoln N.H. before, these Indian names will be foreign to you: The Kancamagus scenic hignway connects Lincoln to Conway New Hampshire...and is 35 miles of wilderness with periodic look out points along the way. Here is one on the scenic stops where you can pull over and take a photo.
Also running along the Kanc (as the locals call it) is the Pemigewasset River...name for the Pemigewasset Indian tribe that once inhabited the area...Here after called the "Pemi".
