After a hugely successful Builders Show case of homes over the Columbus Day weekend, I thought I would share some of the interior finish work we put in these homes. The traditional Adirondack home takes advantage of the materials found locally...that was when they built them in upstate New York at the turn of the century. Now we can get Granite - and exotic species of woods to the site easily...so we are not limited by transport or the lack there of.

The views are incredible this time of year...I took these photos today, and even by my (see it all the time) standards these are magnificent views. First: Franconia Notch State Park - Surrounded by White mountain National Forest. The State park is where the "Old Man of the Mountain " once showed his stone face, it is also the site of the state owned Cannon Mountain Ski Area (Flume Gorge - Echo Lake & a number of trail heads to various hikes).

No matter what else is happening in the real estate market, people still want their recreational activities they have come to enjoy. Ski Season rentals have been brisk, while sales may be slow...skier will ski and many have turned towards a six month rental rather than buying this year. I have had a few that structured a deal that would allow them to purchase the property they are renting and apply some on the rent towards down-payment money.

Summer is in full swing in the white mountains of New Hampshire
This river valley is so beautiful and wide it's hard to even see the folks down by the river frolicking in the water.

I saw the Easter bunny out my back door. My cats let me know their was a visitor lurking near.
He or she seemed to be asking for something. Or maybe he/she wanted in?
He or she crept right up near the back door and kinda peered in.
This scruffy bunny didn't have any eggs that I could see...he or she might have been casing the joint for next Sundays hidden treasures. You know the little round pellets rabbits leave behind...

Loved this train trestle bridge, along the 5th hole of the Owls Nest Golf Course - enjoy the photo journey.
This bridge is old and has served it purpose for many years,,,the train track still get it's use by a tourist line in the spring, summer and fall...and it becomes a snowmobile corridor when winter sets in. you can travel from Lake Winnipasaukee to the Canadian boarder on this rail line.
