White Mountain Views of …the tallest peak in the North east.
From Loon mountain ski area in Lincoln New Hampshire is one of the most accessible ski resorts from metropolitan Boston. And on a clear day you can see for miles and miles, Mount Washington is about 6,300 feet at its peak. It is also about 60 miles away from my local ski area. Today, with the skies so clear and blue you can see it like its right beside you.

A typical Winter seasonal Rental (for the 6 month ski season) in a high quality location with access to the slopes goes for $12,000 plus utilities. I have a new condominium at south peak resort (on Loon Mt.) that wishes to rent full time. The local employment base doesn't allow for yearly rentals to be very high in price, but rewards shorter term rentals with excellent dollars per night.

The calendar may tell you it's spring where you live, but here we have different signs, that let us know winter is loosening it's grip on the frozen ground.
Picture taken today (April 2nd)... See some dirty patches, ski oporation end two days after an early Easter this year closing day is April 14th.
One of the brooks in my Yard was completely Dry five days ago, when we were getting snow flurries, when I took this photo today it was 63 degrees outside.

In July of 2008, the state of New Hampshire changed the shore land protection act, for any lake, pond, ocean or 4th order river (stream) or larger.
The new set back requirements for septic systems is now 250 feet, with tree cutting significantly curtailed as well. Most people in the state think this is a good requirement, for protecting ground water from pollutants and the run off that occurs with deforesting activities this close to a water source.

The Valley Between Loon and Cannon Mountains holds more than snow for me. My family lives the recreational lifestyle the area lends it self to. We Kayak in the spring, Golf in the summer, hike in the fall, and ski in the winter.
