RESPA FAQ VIDEO On December 17, 2009 AllRegs conducted a 90-minute webinars on the hot topic of the changes that have since taken place, on January 1st, 2010, regarding RESPA rules and addresses many of the frequently asked questions (FAQ). youtube: Haunted Mansion - New Orleans Style... - 12/14/09 04:50 AM
Nicholas Cage has been one of my favorite actors since I first saw him try and act in "Raising Arizona" way back when. I saw him over the weekend in the Cage classic, "ConAir". Not sure what it is I like about the guy, but in my book, he is the CHARLES BRONSON of the 21st century...he will always get his man (if he is a good guy) or he will be the last person you ever want to meet when he plays the bad guy! Not sure how many movies he has made now, and I'm sure I've missed a … (3 comments)

youtube: You Can Shear a Sheep Many Times...But You Can Only Lead Them to Slaughter Once! - 12/12/09 12:30 PM
I was reminiscing about a mentor of mine. After spending 10 years in the Army I ended up in the Collection Agency industry for the next dozen years, starting in 1981. I had the most stereo-typical old Jewish man you would ever want to meet, as a boss, a mentor and a partner. When I first met him he was pushing 80 and worked every day because he enjoyed it. Seymour had migrated to California in the late '50s from Chicago...so he had that edge going for him as well. He would have been great in the movies...or better yet doing … (6 comments)

youtube: Suzy Orman Gives a REALTOR Advise - circa November 2007 - 11/09/09 01:41 AM
I always find it interesting to go back and see what people were saying about the future...especially when the future they are talking about is our present.Well below is a video I found on YouTube with Suzy Orman the personal wealth guru that has sold lots and lots of books and tapes.  Here Suzy is talking with a Los Angeles real estate agent who goes by Staci.  Apparently in 2006m Staci earned $136K and when this was filmed she was hoping to break the $40K point.Obviously, Staci had a bad year in 2007, like so many of us in the real … (8 comments)

youtube: LAW PROFESSOR PROCLAIMS, "WALK AWAY RENEE" - 11/04/09 06:19 PM
LAW PROFESSOR PROCLAIMS, "WALK AWAY RENEE"
Alright, University of Arizona Law School Professor Brent T White was not actually quoting the 1966 pop hit, Walk Away Renee, by the Left Banke but according to a Wall Street Journal article published on October 30th he is indeed an advocate of the Strategic Default, that I have previously reported on.  A strategic default is the decision to walk away from a home rather than continuing to pay for the home, despite the homeowners ability to pay.  More often than not, the strategic defaulting homeowner will continue to play the ‘credit game' and … (91 comments)

youtube: Google Maps can be edited... - 10/22/09 06:46 PM
I was frustrated because whenever I searched for may address on Google Maps it took me about a block east of where my office is located.  Now, this might not seem like such a big deal...but it was, and let me tell you why.
The photos that went with the location showed a vacant field...yikes.  I am in the newest and brightest and best neighborhood shopping center in the entire Hemet - San Jacinto Valley, CA.  And when people look for directions, they find a vacant field...no way.So, I stumbled and played around a bit...not exactly what happened, but it happened.  … (12 comments)

youtube: Do You Remember the Dancing Baby Craze on Ally McBeal a few years ago? - 09/26/09 07:15 PM
OK, I must be on some sort of YouTube kick tonight - guess I'm tired of thinking about Rel Estate. So here is a video that is part of an entire series that appear to have been produced for Evian botteled Water - these are great.  Not even sure how I found this now - but I did.  My first thought was the Dancing Baby that first appeared on the TV show, Ally MdBeal.  The thing was huge all over the internet.Well, I don't think this will ever get that big - but it is hilarous to watch.  If you jump over … (10 comments)

youtube: What would you do if there was no more Internet? - 09/26/09 06:49 PM
OK, I know that sometimes I get off on a tangent and can buy into a conspiracy theory. I recently shared thoughts on the Governments intervention with the Internet, when I posted If the Government Can Plan for a "Worst Case" Scenario, shouldn't We?  So I was told that it was nonsense by some and others were legitimately scared.
Well, I was surfing around and found a video on YouTube that claims the way the Internet works today will be gone and totally commercialized in the next 4 years.

Now I don’t know how credible the video is – but the … (12 comments)
