Lake Home Community in Hernando MS Buena Vista Lakes is a lake home community in Hernando MS located off Highway 51 just north of the Arkabutla Lake 51 landing. This neighborhood has been around since the mid-to-late 1960s when it was used by families from the Memphis, TN area as a weekend getaway destination. That was back before the I-55 freeway connected the metro area of Memphis to the more rural areas of Northwest MS. One of the newer parks is Lee's Summit Park located in the Lee's Summit neighborhood right off Monteith Rd. This park has a paved walking trail, playground, pavillion with picnic tables, and a pond. It is located just behind the "Wal-mart shopping center".
