Hernando MS (the DeSoto County seat) has several great neighborhood parks. 
One of the newer parks is Lee's Summit Park located in the Lee's Summit neighborhood right off Monteith Rd.  This park has a paved walking trail, playground, pavillion with picnic tables, and a pond.  It is located just behind the "Wal-mart shopping center".
