ridgefield bpo: To BPO or not to BPO that is the question

BPO's have become very prevalent in our market here in Greater Danbury CT. Of course a BPO is a Broker Price Opinion that banks and asset manage companies pay Realtors $50-$75 to complete. The time that it takes to complete these BPO's is worth a heck of alot more than what we get paid but the "carrot" that they dangle is that whoever completes the BPO will be strongly considered if and when the property is foreclosed and therefore becomes REO or Real Estate Owned.
