The National Association of Realtors, The Mortgage Bankers’ Association, Freddie Mac and Fannie Maeare all projecting that home sales will increase in 2017. Here is a chart showing what each entity is projecting in sales for this year and the next.

As we can see, each is projecting sizable increases in home sales next year. If you have considered selling your house recently, now may be the time to put it on the market.

FICO Scoring Changes
FICO, the nation’s most popular credit-scoring system, announced this week that it is changing some of the criteria used in calculating consumers’ scores. This, obviously could lead to consumers saving money when qualifying for mortgages and other types of loans.
The changes include:
·         Reducing the toll that overdue medical bills can take on credit scores, as well as
·         Removing other past penalties from consumers who have paid off debts that had been assigned to collection agencies.

The Village of Libertyville has contracted with Mondi Construction Inc. of Roselle to perform public sidewalk replacement at certain locations in the Village.  Work is expected to begin in early August.   Sections of sidewalk will be removed where marked and will typically be re-poured within 1-2 days of removal.  Repair locations will be protected with barricades and/or traffic cones.
