Because I am not a baker, can't really you tell what the real purpose of baking soda is.  However, here are a couple of cleaning uses for the baking soda in your cabinet  
Since, everyone knows that baking soda placed in the fridge kills odors.  Here are some baking soda tips you may not be aware of.  
Drains......................
For drains in the kitchen and bathrooms, pour a cup down the drain.  This will keep the drains smelling fresh.  
Fresher Pets..............

Recently, in an effort to go green and do things to help the environment, I am now using lemons for another purpose.  Cleaning!
Lemon juice can be used to dissolve soap scum and hard water deposits.
Lemon juice can be mixed with vinegar and or baking soda to make cleaning pastes. Cut a lemon in half and sprinkle baking soda on the cut section. Use the lemon to scrub dishes, surfaces, and stains.  A natural fresh smelling alternative- that's what lemons are!

After coming home, I need a vacation from my vacation!  Did, I have a great time!  Yes, I did!
I went to Vegas who has been my friend since I was 8 years old!  After this trip, we have made plans to take a girl trip every year!  We are already planning our next trip!
I will visit her in July for a big music festival in New Orleans.  We hadn't been in touch since before Katrina- Numbers got misplaced and we lost contact!  Thank God for facebook!  That is how we were able to locate each other.....

The nervous Nellie in me, starts panicking about flight delays.   I have finally calmed down.  The reservationist with Continental was a gem!  Charlotte is fine for travel!  WOO- HOOO!
 
Before, loosing my daddy, I never really thought about a bucket list.  Just never thought about life being so short. 
Vegas was one of the things that I wanted to do, but never had!

Carbon Motors Corp. will visit the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research next week as it considers where to locate a facility it said will create 10,000 jobs and have a $3 billion economic impact.
 
The Atlanta company designed an alternative energy concept car called the Carbon E7 that is built specifically for law enforcement.

I love to make these!  I have made them every year for Halloween since I was 18!
 

 
 
Step 1.  Pop 2 qts. popcorn - air-popped is best - and put in a large pan.
I have also made this using 2 bags of microwave popcorn.
 Step 2.  Put sugar, corn syrup, butter, 1/3 cup water and salt in a medium saucepan.
Step 3.  Place pan over medium heat and stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil.

One of the biggest differences between me and Maureen Henry - Rockland Home Staging  is that she doesn't get southern cooking!
The girl has never ate grits.  She told me that she ate collard greens for the first time and threw them out!  Can you believe that?
Southerners make the best iced tea you'll find. I think it is because we put love into what we do or because we have GREAT WATER!

Ingredients  
 
 
2 cans pineapple chunks 1 can sliced peaches 1 can pears 4 bananas, sliced 1 cup grapes 1 qt. strawberries 1 cup raisins 1 cup marshmallows Cinnamon, if desiredDirections Drain all cans of fruit.
