Oh What A Beautiful Morning
The past couple of weeks have been phenomenal. Gone are the hot humid days replaced by afternoon temperatures in the 70's. This past Wednesday morning was 56 degrees when I walked my daughter to the bus at 7 AM. I even had to wear a sweatshirt. Fall has arrived and it is beautiful.

I love my job. Yes, I will say it again. I love my job. I never know what I will find from inspection to inspection. Every home is different. Every home provides me with a unique experience and a chance to learn and discover things that I never thought possible. Every home teaches me that not all homes are created equal.
Home inspectors are not omniscient. Some may portend to be but inspectors as a whole, are learning every day we are on a job. There is no one size fits all category when inspecting homes. That's what makes my job … (2 comments)

Gutters - Finally we get some needed rain. It pours for 15 minutes then the sun comes out for 20 then it pour for 5 minutes and so on and so on.  Of course it figures that we were having my wife's birthday party outside at the pool. Six weekends of no rain, set the party date and what happens, Murphy's Law at work. The party did go off without a hitch. I have to admit to you all that I am guilty of what I have been preaching in my Home Sweet Home Inspection Tips Of The Week.

Garage doors are probably one of the most overlooked doors in our homes. We can use them up to 15 times a day over a thousand times a year. Does anyone ever do any preventative maintenance on them? Probably not. Just another part our homes that we take for granted.
